Designed Corrections Canada security equipment for Senstar Corp. projects.

Designed optical lens mounting for Interoptics portion of the Roots Inc. Osiris project.

Checked and recommended improvements for the Osiris Optics Housing Flight Unit for Roots Inc.

Designed security pedistals for Nortel Networks that are currently used in most federal government and many private industry building entrances.

JDS Uniphase: reviewed and redesigned several products acquired by JDS Uniphase from Oprel Technologies in 2000/2001.

MultiDev: design of the intentional modulation on pulse (IMOP) receiver/transmitter system to be integrated into the CF-18 aircraft (DREO). Worked closely with other contractors and project engineers such as CAE electronics, Bombardier Aerospace and manufacturing facilities. This unit was the first product designed for DREO that passed all RFI, EMI, heating and cooling test on first testing exceeding requirements under full operation.

Nortel Networks: design of VLSI packaging for the Semi Conductor Group Assembly Department.

MDS Nordion: as part of several design project teams, worked on the electrical and control systems design of several large scale Irradiators for materials handling installations.

Morrison Knudsen Corp: design of various systems to be integrated into the new California Transit Commission (CalTrans) train cars. Systems included rail car HVAC, lighting, sound and entertainment systems, "white noise", structural supports, emergency notification and escape, information broadcast (visual and audio), insulation, truck couplings, systems integration/intercommunications and intercar communications.

SPAR Aerospace Ltd.: developed designs in conjunction with engineering staff on several projects. Created primary designs for the antenna services subsystems and spacecraft mounting of the antenna for the ASAR proposal while directing the activities of design and drafting staff on the ASAR project. Designed ACTRA unit sub-assemblies for the GE Space Station mechanical design team. Learned UniGraphics (UGII) during off-hours. Did French language training at night school.

CRL technologies: designed night vision illumination systems for aircraft instrumentation (NVIS). Supervised drafting and documentation control staff.

Pylon Electronic Development: as Design Office Manager was senior mechanical designer and project manager for all military, paramilitary, industrial and commercial products. Responsible for project evaluation, project management, estimating and scheduling.

Some Achievements

Osiris Optics housing flight unit (Roots Inc.) successfully manufactured using annotated 3-D models for all machined parts.

Spar Aerospace ASAR antenna design proposal was purchased by Marconi (England) for development in Germany as part of a European joint effort telecommunications satellite.

Several black boxes, various antenna parts and sub-assemblies designed for satellites and three areas of the International Space Station (SPAR) are all currently in-flight.

In addition to formal training for several CAD systems, self taught user of other CAD systems including CADkey Pro, AutoCAD, SolidEdge, UniGraphics, and Intergraph.
